| Judybox Revival
1x12" Combo.......................$1295 +

Class A, 6L6
amplifier producing 28 watts. 2 preamp channels,
bass and treble controls for each channel. Bad
Betty 12" speaker. The Revival is designed
for tones that range from Texas blues to classic
rock. It has all the spankiness that 6L6 amps are
known for but distorts easier, faster and more
gradually that most.
Using only the volume control on your guitar,
you can easily conjure up tones that suggest
Bakersfield, Liverpool, Athens, Austin or
Detroit. The best clean tones come from turning
the amp up and turning your guitar down. As the
volume goes up, so does the heat, giving your
guitar a built-in overdrive control.
The Revival makes it easy to adjust the
response for your touch. Most Revivals come
equipped with 6L6GC's and a 5U4G rectifier.
Others come with short bottle 6L6GGB's and a
5AR4/GZ34. By using different power tubes (6L6,
5881, KT66) and/or different rectifiers (5U4,
GZ34, SS module) you can change the amount of
headroom and the distortion tone of the amp. Of
course, the preamp supports most popular 9 pin
dual triodes (12AX7, 12AT7, 5751, 12AY7, 7025).
Now Shipping - Our New Hooligan 34W class A
EL34 combo. Similar to the Revival, but with
'34's and trimmed in British racing green.
Classic rock tones in spades. Who says you can't
get a hand-wired, all tube brit-style amp at a
reasonable price. $1295

| Judybox Select 1x12"
Combo.........................$1180 + shipping
|
Class A, 6V6
amplifier producing 15 watts. 2 preamp channels,
bass and treble controls for each channel. Bad
Betty 12" speaker. The Select shares
almost all of the features of the Revival, but it
is optimized for 6V6 power tubes. If spanky
describes the Revival, silky is the keyword for
the Select.
At 15 watts, the Select is best for intimate
club performances and recording. The tone is
smooth and rich when clean and a microcosm of
stadium rock at full volume.

| Judybox Extension Cabinet w/
12" Speaker.....$249 + shipping

Vintage style,
speaker featuring paper cone, surround and
spider. 1.5" voice coil, rated at 30 watts
RMS, 50 watts Max. The Bad Betty is our own
design, based on the famous blue and green
British speakers of the early 60's. The Betty
features a creamy, sweet top end and bold low end
response. Named for a 50's pin up model that was
known for both good girl and very naughty poses,
this speaker certainly has a split personality.
Clean, it sounds angelic, but this speaker loves
to rock.
Notice in this comparison to a vintage
blue-frame and a modern red-frame speaker, the
Bad Betty is a few decibles less efficient.
This means you can run your amp
louder, where it sounds better, but without
getting too loud. Also notice that Betty's
frequency response (dark trace) more closely
matches that of the $300+ British speaker (red
trace) than the modern speaker (thin trace),
including all of the little 'bumpy' bits that
mean richer, more complex tone. Betty's bass
response is the best of the 3, more like the
famous green speaker that is the gold standard
for rock and roll guitar.
So, with our extension cabinet, you get a
great Bad Betty speaker wrapped in an overtuned
cabinet that matches our amps visually and
aurally. We take the same high-grade plywood amp
cabinet and use a full-height speaker baffle to
produce the extension cabinet. It is stronger
than it has to be, tuned like a Revival, and
covered in matching vinyl. We do use a flat strap
handle on the extension cabinet to allow our amps
to stack on it properly.
Note, we also have a few never-mounted, NIB
Bad Bettys for sale at $65 each.
